3 Reasons for a 3 Season Porch

3 Season PorchesWe’ve finally hit  beautiful weather here in Wisconsin; the snow is gone, the sun is shining, and we’re excited to get outside and enjoy it. But enjoying everything the summer months have to offer shouldn’t end once you get back indoors, you want to bring it home with you! There’s no better way to do that than with a 3 season porch. These great additions let you get the best of both worlds, and much more. Here are 3 reasons to consider a 3 season porch:

1) It Won’t Break the Bank  – If a full room addition is too hefty of a price, you can still get most of the same features by going the 3 season route, at a fraction of the cost. With a 3 season porch or screened porch, the room doesn’t need to be connected to your home’s heating and cooling, and it doesn’t need a foundation dug. This ends up cutting the cost and construction time of the project considerably.

2) Enjoy it Rain or Shine – Unfortunately, not every day can be a sunny one. You’d love to be out working on the yard, or maybe just hanging out on a hammock on a nice summer day, but sometimes Mother Nature has a different plan. With a 3 season porch, you can still connect with the beauty and atmosphere of the outdoors, even if the weather isn’t exactly cooperating. This versatile addition makes a great place to read a book on a rainy day or watch a lightning storm in the evening.

3) Don’t Feed the Mosquitoes – It never fails. You want to relax on your porch and enjoy a beautiful Wisconsin evening, but then, it starts. First it’s just a faint buzz, then a tickle on your arm. Next thing you know, you’re swatting and an unending swarm of pests that see you as a nice meal, and then you’re itching those mosquito bites for days. By upgrading to screened or 3 season porch, you won’t have to keep yourself locked inside when mosquitoes start to invade. Take back your porch, and enjoy it mosquito free!
